It gives developers a great artefact to think how to make users trust your social networking site

In my opinion the concept of trust is very important in organizations or developers dedicated to social network because this factor reflect the continuity of service in long range, in addition to that, the organizations can use it as a measure to monitor and track the users’ trust beliefs and collect this information to research. And thus they make conclusions and make changes on the service.

It’s important to understand how the authors relate the types of trust (technology trust belief and interpersonal trust belief), because for example users of Facebook can perceive this website as a technology and as a quasi-personal. And the developers and manager have to take it in mind, because the most of the time they only focus in main technological aspects (well in my own experience). Like ensuring it operates with reliability, but they should also ensure the website signals benevolence and integrity, so the users can trust it more. So, these two paths give developers a great artefact to think how to make users trust your social networking site. Thereby they can ensure that users are going to continue to use it, and will continue a lot of market.

On the other hand future research will be interesting to explore more relations of trust beliefs to others technologies.
