Li and Bernoff (2008) Groundswell: winning in a world transfromed by social technologies

The Question is why Web 2.0 is not part of the title of this book?

Seems strange that the concept of Web 2.0 is mentioned ONLY three times in this book. The book describes basically the same phenomenon, the same tools, but uses a completely different name. Tim O'Reilly's name caught the IT world by a storm, suddenly everyone was talking about it. Andrew McAfee followed the trend when naming his book: Enterprise 2.0

Friedman used a similar approach when talking about Globalization 3.0 in his seminal "The World is Flat: A bried history of the Twenty-First Century" All these books were signaling the importance of ICTs in the transformation of the modern organization. It took me a long time to identify the Groundswell along this trend, the title did not signal the same message. I was wondering where the epicentre of this groundswell was located!

But reading the book while thinking Web 2.0 was a worthwile exercise. Let's see how much of that you can find as well . . .
